    Job Description

    Our Client, an expanding Nonprofit Organization in White Plains, NY is seeking a Controller. The Controller will be responsible for of all accounting and financial functions within the organization. The primary responsibilities for the controller include but are not limited to the monthly close process, collection of accounts receivable, accounts payable and annual preparation of a budget. The Controller will be a part of a team that has a strong connected work culture and is interdisciplinary.  The Controller must provide a timely, high-quality and accurate work product.

    Essential Duties


    • Financial Statements
    • Payroll
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Internal Audit Schedules
    • Monthly Budget
    • Billing
    • Grant Reporting
    • Act as key liaison to outside auditors.
    • Preparation of work papers supporting the monthly close process and month end account balances.
    • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.



    • Bachelors in Accounting and/or related degree
    • 5+ years’ experience in the accounting and finance sector.
    • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
    • Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks.
    • Task and goal oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting.
    • Knowledge of FUND E-Z software



    • Prior finance experience within the nonprofit sector
    • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
