The Family Office Services Group at PKF O’Connor Davies provides accounting, reporting, investment monitoring and oversight, tax planning and compliance, and other services to affluent families, family offices, executives and their businesses. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing service engagements to ensure full client expectations are achieved and ongoing management of the division’s operations. This individual will also be responsible for the development and motivation of the group’s staff while providing them with leadership and guidance.

Essential Duties

  • Manage client engagements which include the following family office services: accounting, financial reporting, investment reporting and oversight, bill payment, employee management/payroll processing, banking and cash management, tax compliance, advanced planning, administrative services and lifestyle support.
  • Coordinate and execute other client services as required including new investments, asset purchases, sales and financing transactions, contract monitoring/compliance, insurance monitoring and oversight, and residence management.
  • Plan, develop and implement operational infrastructure of systems, processes, procedures and controls and organize personnel training designed to accommodate the clients’ needs and the group’s objectives.
  • Serve as the focal point for resolution of client issues and effect team member accountabilities from all areas of organization to ensure quality, integrity and client service excellence standards are met.
  • Manage quality and efficiency of client services and profitability of client relationships.
  • Organize staffing and manage, develop, train and mentor staff on projects. Assess performance for engagements and year-end reviews and actively participate in recruiting talent for the Firm.
  • Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars on a regular basis.
  • Generate new business opportunities by participating in market facing activities and developing thought leadership materials.
  • Other responsibilities include client service, marketing, client billing and collections and presentations.


  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.
  • Active CPA license or EA certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of Family Office and/or Public Accounting experience.
  • Experience working with affluent individuals, families, executives and owners of closely held businesses.
  • Extensive accounting, personal and business financial statement experience including investment accounting and performance reporting, alternative investments, and knowledge of individual, partnership and trust taxation.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members on multiple projects at once while consistently completing projects on time, efficiently, and with the highest quality.
  • Ability to develop employees and teams through regular coaching and feedback leading to positive results.
  • Additional hours during busy season may be required to meet client deliverables.
  • Local travel to clients may be required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 - $195,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
