We are currently seeking a Paraprofessional to join our Business Solutions Group. The BSG group provides entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses accounting, tax and advisory support. The Audit Manager will be part of the Financial Services Audit Team, where enthusiasm and teamwork come first. The individual will lead engagements supported by Partners and will educate, train and promote a great working environment. This individual will plan, lead and perform external audits using PCAOB and Investment Company GAAP standards, conduct surprise custody examinations, lead attest engagements using SOX and SSAE standards, prepare audit risk assessments and conduct mock audits or other attest compliance reviews with our compliance joint venture partner. This person will be a key member of the management team and accordingly, will conduct client engagements in compliance with the Firm’s risk management strategy. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with a team on all accounting and financial functions. The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include but are not limited to: assistance with the monthly close process; preparation of account reconciliations and analyses; accounts payable research and processing, where applicable and other accounting and/or finance projects when needed. The Staff Accountant will be a part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting and finance matters, in addition to creating procedures to ensure the close and reporting processes are efficient and accurate. The Risk Advisory Manager is responsible for providing internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC attestation and operational review services to organizations across many different industries. This individual will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, both individually and in small teams, discussing finding and observations during exit meetings, preparing work papers to support conclusions and preparing written memos for inclusion in formal reports. The Risk Advisory Manager position will also include client service assistance such as advice on various operational and compliance matter, best practices and helping clients deal with control issues.

The Senior Tax Associate or Tax Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete and timely preparation and review of tax returns for our diverse client base. This individual will be responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. Year-round Business Solutions Interns are assigned to work as a team member on diverse client engagements. Interns get real-world, hands-on experience, allowing them to explore a career in public accounting with PKF O’Connor Davies and assisting in executing various Business Solutions related projects. From the very beginning, Business Solutions Interns are immersed in PKF O’Connor Davies culture. Interns also receive training to grow and develop their skill set. This part-time, paid year-round internship program starts in February 2023.

At PKF O’Connor Davies, our Winter Audit Internship Program immerses students in work alongside our industry group specialists by assisting with and providing quality audit services to the Firm’s clients in authentic engagements. Interns get real-world, hands on experience, allowing them to explore a career in public accounting with PKF O’Connor Davies and assisting in executing actual audit projects. This part-time, paid 12-week internship program operates from early January through mid-April and requires a minimum of 20 hours/week commitment.
