This position will be focused on providing day-to-day, high-level administrative support, as well as completing independent project assignments, to partners and multiple client service professionals in our Middletown, NY office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling appointments, composing memos, performing research and creating proposals and presentations. The position requires the individual to be capable of prioritizing competing requests and needs of the partners and client service professionals in the office. This role also requires a very high level of professionalism in communicating with both external and internal contacts and the individual should have the ability to exercise independent judgment in such dealings. An advanced proficiency in administrative skills including communication and technology is required. Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment and provide timely, high-quality and accurate work product.

Position Description: Financial Services Intern

The individual will be responsible for researching and drafting memoranda and other tax correspondence and creating spreadsheets with respect to income, sales, and payroll taxes. The individual will address tax credits (including the research credit), tax audits, voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, income tax apportionment studies, and tax filing positions. Preparation of sales and other tax returns on a limited basis will also be part of the State and Local Tax Senior position.

The Audit Supervisor will primarily be responsible for leading and performing a variety of commercial audit engagements. PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, is looking for an IT Audit Senior Associate. The primary focus of this role will be related to external audit support; however, the individual will also be involved in various other advisory type tasks as needed.
The Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for the tax planning and compliance functions for ultra-high net worth individuals and their families with a specific focus on financial service type clients, such as hedge-fund, private equity, and other investment type individuals. The Tax Manager will also work closely with the CFO of the fund in order to handle the tax planning and compliance function of the management company. This individual is responsible for managing staff, maintaining close client relationships, prospect and assist with building a sustainable business and will work closely with Partners to best service clients in an entrepreneurial environment that prides itself on excellent client service and tax expertise.
The IT Senior Support Coordinator’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that PKF O’Connor Davies end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests and escalating incidents when considered appropriate and necessary to maintain SLA expectations. Problem resolution may involve research, interacting with vendor support, the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as requiring that the individual give in-person, hands-on support at the desktop level. Senior Support Coordinators participate in, and often drive, resolution to more complex issues and strategic initiatives for the department. Flexible working options available over time.
The Associate will be required to perform a broad range of Risk Advisory tasks. This individual will assist the managers and/or senior managers in engagement planning, execution of test plans, report writing and review of final reports. The position will get exposure to multiple industries and varies services. Projects include SOC attestation, SOX, internal audit, compliance projects, and operation reviews.
